Emergency 24 hour diet

There’s an event that you’ve been anticipating for this weekend, but you’ve been so busy that you haven’t been eating right and not getting enough sleep. You’re scared you won’t fit into that dress you bought for the event. Or maybe, you have a pool party coming up and you’ve been bloated all week. Or, you’ve been trying to lose weight but that stubborn belly fat just won’t go away! Any of these scenarios sound familiar? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.

I found this 24 hour emergency diet and was very intrigued by it. My boyfriend and I went to get all the ingredients and we did this diet together. Honestly, I’m so glad that he was on board with this diet because we definitely needed each other’s support. This diet is basically a juice and tea diet. You must not consume any food during this 24 hour period and this diet should not be done in consecutive days. With that being said, we started the day off with a glass of lemon water, not bad. We continued down the schedule and I was good. At around noon, I was hungry, but not too hungry. This was normal though. I don’t usually eat lunch until around 2 pm anyways because of my intermittence fasting (another blog about this in the future). Throughout the day, I was hungry but at the same time my stomach was so full off of liquids that I wasn’t really hungry. Around dinner time, a friend texted me asking if I wanted tickets to a cook-off event. I contemplated taking it because I was craving food and everyone loves a good cook-off. My boyfriend and I were so close to calling it quits and just redoing it another day, but then I thought, we’ve made it through the whole day already, there was only a couple hours left, we should just finish it so we wouldn’t have to do it again. So… we poured ourselves a glass of grapefruit juice and cheers-ed to our dinner. It was actually pretty sad. By the end of the night, I was so proud of us to have gone through the whole day without eating and actually following through with the diet. The next morning was the moment of truth. Was it worth it? I hopped out of bed and immediately went to the mirror. WOW. My stomach actually looked flatter! I loved the result so much that I actually did it a second time, two days later. If you want to try the diet, I wrote the plan down. If you try it, let me know if it worked for you!

24 hour emergency diet plan

8 am:  Drink a glass of warm water mixed with lemon juice.
10 am: Drink a glass of water and a glass of  orange or apple juice.
12 o’clock (at noon): Drink a cup of green tea.
1 pm: Drink a glass of cold water and a glass of carrot juice.
3 pm: Drink a cup of tea of your choice.
5 pm: Drink a natural juice of your choice.
7 pm: Drink another cup of green tea.
9 pm: Drink a glass of water and a glass of grapefruit juice.
10 pm: Now you need to finish the day with the same drink you had to start it. Drink a glass of warm water mixed with lemon juice.

Remember to not add any artificial sweetener or other ingredients to the teas and juices. I found my juices at HEB. Make sure that it is 100% juice and not mixed juice.
